The Indonesian government’s health transformation pillar includes health technology transformation. Amid rapid advancements in the health sector, innovation must be sought to provide solutions and extend health services to the larger community. As a result, through the Dexa Group Hackathon for Talent Catch 2023, Dexa Group helps encourage the nation’s youngsters to contribute to creating technical solutions in the health sector.

Dexa Group Hackathon for Talent Catch, also known as Digihatch 2023, is a technological innovation competition in the pharmaceutical business offered to undergraduates from Indonesia’s top universities. Digihatch 2023, with the theme “The Future Is Now,” invites future-ready IT leaders to innovate technological solutions.

Mr. Wimala Widjaja, Director of Medela Potentia, stated that the execution of Digihatch 2023 was in line with Dexa Group’s primary objective, Expertise for the Promotion of Health. This program also allows the younger generation to invent and apply solutions to real-world challenges in business, particularly in the health sector.

“As a result, we believe that in the future, Dexa Group will require a large number of young professionals and leaders who can turn digital innovation into a competitive advantage, allowing the company to develop and remain relevant throughout the ages. We will generate a large amount of data by digitalization; big data is the “new oil” for the future in responding to difficulties in industry 4.0 and even 5.0. Keep being enthusiastic about innovating for the future,” remarked Mr. Wimala on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, during the Digihatch 2023 Ceremony in Jakarta.

Mr. Suratman, Head of Systems and Operations at Dexa Group, highlighted that Digihatch 2023 gives mentorship or training to all participants to deliver solutions in developing intelligent transportation management systems for pharmaceutical distributors. Undergraduates from leading universities competed in this tournament, including Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Gadjah Mada University, and Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta.

“In September, Digihatch began recruitment at various universities in Indonesia. We give real-world industry use cases, as well as selection and mentorship. The benefit of this program is that Dexa Group provides mentorship to participants to help them understand how to produce solutions for organizations and industries. For the younger generation, don’t stop innovating and providing value to society,” Mr. Suratman said.

This event also included a sharing session with Microsoft Indonesia Country Engineering Lead Mr. Irving Hutagalung on “The Art of Scalability: The Scalable Architecture for Future Tech.”

“One of the challenges in the IT industry is that it advances swiftly; this rapid change forces us to learn continuously and constantly innovate. As a result, the younger generation must continue to develop to offer technological solutions that are relevant in the present and future,” Mr. Irving stated.

Digihatch has attracted registrants from several universities, including the Bandung Institute of Technology, Gadjah Mada University, and Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta, starting September 18, 2023, and ending October 17, 2023. Credible specialists rigorously vetted all project proposals up to the judgment phase. All of the winning teams of the Digihatch 2023 program were from ITB. 1. Reswara Trista Aulia Candrakanti, Karina Rahadiani, and Ardhan Nur Urfan with the idea for the MediGuard project.
2. Aloysius Gilang Pramudya, Brianaldo Phandiarta, and Kent Liusudarso with the idea of the Sentinels project.
3. Muhammad Tito Prakasa, Fayza Nadia, and Muhammad Fikri Ranjabi with the idea of the Dexa Swift project.
