Dexa Group once again received the Halal Award from the Lembaga Pengkajian Pangan Obat-obatan dan Kosmetika Majelis Ulama Indonesia (LPPOM MUI) in the Best Social Contribution on Halal environment category, demonstrating its dedication to establishing a halal environment in Indonesia.
“I congratulate all companies and business actors nominated for and won awards at the 2023 LPPOM MUI Halal Award. We anticipate an increase in involvement in the following year. Hopefully, the Indonesian halal industry will also continue to advance rapidly and make a genuine contribution to the welfare of society and the nation,” said the Vice President in his opening remarks online at the 2023 LPPOM MUI Halal Award, which was held Monday (4/9/2023) at the International Convention Center, Bogor Agricultural University (ICC IPB).
Mr. V. Hery Sutanto, President Director of PT Dexa Medica, Mrs. Antonia Retno Tyas Utami, Quality Management Director of PT Inertia Utama, and Sonny Himawan, Head of Corporate Communications Dexa Group, were in attendance. Also present as the spoke person at the occasion were the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Airlangga Hartarto, the Minister for Tourism and Creative Economy, Mr. Sandiaga Uno, the Minister for Cooperatives and SMEs, Mr. Teten Masduki, and the Main Director of LPPOM MUI, Mrs. Muti Arintawati.
According to the Director of LPPOM MUI, this prize fosters establishing a halal ecosystem in Indonesia. “Our goal is that the winners will continue to be enthusiastic about offering excellent halal products. As Indonesia’s first Halal Inspection Institution, LPPOM MUI will continue to strive to accompany and give solutions to all LPPOM MUI partner business actors,” Mrs. Muti stated.
Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister stressed that Indonesia’s halal sector has enormous potential. According to the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Indonesian Muslim expenditure in the halal industry is expected to rise by 7.8% in the coming year. “Indonesian business actors must properly utilize this potential,” the Coordinating Minister for the Economy remarked.
Furthermore, Mr. Sandiga Uno expects this honor will inspire the firm to strengthen its consumer services by offering halal items. Similarly, Mr. Teten Masduki indicated that the government is committed to the growth of the halal environment.
Ms. Muti Arintawati, Director of LPPOM MUI, presented the prize to Mr. V Hery Sutanto, President Director of PT Dexa Medica.
