Indication

Viral diseases of the respiratory tract, exanthematous diseases, infectious hepatitis and some viral diseases in nervous system. Influenza in children and adults, bronchiolitis, rhinopharyngitis, varicella, measles, herpetic simplex and herpes zoster, parotitis, etc.

Dosage

0 to 5 Years Old

Average of 50 mg/kg body weight/day. This dosage can be increased up to 100 mg/kg body weight/day depending on the gravity of the case.

5 to 18 Years Old

An average of 50 mg/kg body weight/day will be used, this dosage can be increased up to 60 mg/kg body weight/day. These dosages should be divided into four to six times a day.

If it is required, concomitant administration with antibiotic or chemotherapy is allowed when the disease is complicated by microbe. There are no contraindications for concomitant administration with antibiotic or chemotherapy and these according to suggestion of physician.

18 Years Old and Above

An average of 50 mg/kg body weight/day will be used, this dosage can be increased up to 60 mg/kg body weight/day. These dosages should be divided into four to six times a day.

If it is required, concomitant administration with antibiotic or chemotherapy is allowed when the disease is complicated by microbe. There are no contraindications for concomitant administration with antibiotic or chemotherapy and these according to suggestion of physician.

Treatment Duration

Acute viral diseases of short evolution:
Treatment should and continue one to two days after the symptomatology disappears, according to the doctor’s judgement. In this way, relapses will be avoided.

Acute viral diseases of long evolution:
Treatment should continue one to two weeks after the symptomatology disappears, according to the doctor’s judgment. In this way, relapses will be avoided.
