Indication
Neuropathic pain
Pregabalin is indicated for the treatment of peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults. (I p.1, II p.2288, III p.502, IV p.2)
Epilepsy
Pregabalin is indicated as adjunctive therapy in adults with partial seizures with or without secondary generalization. (I p.1, II p.2288, III p.502, IV p.2)
Generalized anxiety disorder
Pregabalin is indicated for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) in adults. (I p.1, III p.502, IV p.2)
Pregabalin is indicated for the treatment of peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults. (I p.1, II p.2288, III p.502, IV p.2)

Dosage
18 TO 65 YEARS OLD
The dose range is 150 to 600 mg per day given in either two or three divided doses, pregabalin is given with or without food.
If pregabalin has to be discontinued, it is recommended this should be done gradually over a minimum of 1 week independent of the indication.
65 YEARS OLD AND ABOVE
Elderly patients may require a dose reduction of pregabalin due to a decreased renal function
If pregabalin has to be discontinued, it is recommended this should be done gradually over a minimum of 1 week independent of the indication.
PATIENTS WITH RENAL IMPAIRMENT
Dose reduction in patients with compromised renal function must be individualised according to creatinine clearance
