Posicaine 100 is indicated for local or infiltrative anesthesia in simple or complex dental procedures in adults and children aged 4 years and older.
Each ml contains:
- Articaine hydrochloride 40 mg
- Epinephrine bitartrate equivalent to epinephrine 0,01 mg
4 to 16 Years Old
The dosage of Posicaine 100 in pediatric patients aged 4 to 16 years of age should be determined by the age and weight of the child and the type of surgical procedure.
Maximum dose pediatric patients aged 4 to 16 years: the maximum dosage of Posicaine 100 is 7 mg/kg of articaine hydrochloride and 0.0017 mg/kg of epinephrine (equivalent to 0.175 ml/kg).
Infiltration: 0.5-2.5 ml
Nerve block: 0.5-3.4 ml
Recommended dosage of Posicaine 100 in healthy adult patients serves only as a guide to the amount of anesthetic required in most routine dental procedures. The dose used in adult patients depends on several factors such as the type and extent of the surgical procedure, the depth of anesthesia, the degree of muscular relaxation, and the patient’s condition. In all cases, the smallest dose that will produce the desired result should be given.
Maximum dose healthy adults: the maximum dosage of POSICAINE 100 is 7 mg/kg of articaine hydrochloride and 0.0017 mg/kg of epinephrine (equivalent to 0.175 ml/kg).
How to Use
