Indication

Ketoprofen is used for:

  • Analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects on symptomatic treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and acute and chronic osteoarthritis.
  • Relief of mild to moderate pain such as postoperative (including teeth surgery), postpartum and orthopedic pain.

Dosage

Up to 18 Years

Safety and efficacy of ketoprofen in children have not been established.

Rheumatoid Arthritis

50 mg 3-4 times daily. Lower initial dosages may be preferred in relatively small and geriatric patients.

Osteoarthritis

50 mg 3-4 times daily. Lower initial dosages may be preferred in relatively small and geriatric patients.

Pain

25-50 mg every 6-8 hours as necessary. Therapy should be initiated with relatively small dosages in small Adults, geriatric patients, and patient with renal or hepatic disease.
