Bogor – A free health screening program received an enthusiastic response from residents of Bogor and surrounding areas. Results from the screening, which involved hundreds of participants, revealed that 7 out of 10 people—or 73.8%—are at risk of chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol. These findings highlight the importance of early detection as a key step toward maintaining long-term health.

This insight comes from the Cek Segitiga Free Health Screening Program by PT Dexa Medica, held in Bogor, West Java, on Sunday, April 12, 2026. The event, attended by 679 residents, is part of the *Dharma Dexa* Corporate Social Initiative, which focuses on raising public awareness about the importance of early detection of non-communicable diseases through preventive and educational efforts.

The high percentage of at-risk participants indicates that many individuals are still unaware of their actual health conditions. On-site screening results found that:

– 54.2% had elevated cholesterol levels (>199 mg/dL),
– 42.1% were identified with high blood pressure,
– 10.3% had random blood glucose levels above 200 mg/dL.

He also noted that a significant number of participants were already in serious condition without realizing it, as they had not experienced noticeable symptoms.

“We encountered participants with extremely high blood sugar levels—even up to 500 mg/dL—or blood pressure above 200, yet they reported no symptoms. This is what makes these conditions dangerous, as they are often asymptomatic in the early stages. That’s why screening is so important,” he explained.

He also emphasized the importance of consistently maintaining a healthy lifestyle, rather than relying solely on screening results.

“Health is dynamic. Being healthy today doesn’t guarantee the same tomorrow. It’s important to follow dietary guidelines, exercise regularly 3–5 times a week, avoid smoking, and manage stress. Most importantly, avoid a sedentary lifestyle and start staying active,” he advised.

Meanwhile, Dharma Dexa Manager Mr. Mateus Ramidi reaffirmed that the program reflects Dexa Group’s ongoing commitment to supporting government efforts in strengthening national health.

“In 2026, the Cek Segitiga program kicks off in Bogor. We hope to see growing community participation so the program can make a meaningful contribution by providing accessible free health services,” he stated.

He also highlighted that Dexa Group’s commitment goes beyond preventive care, extending to ensuring access to quality treatment.

“Dexa Medica remains committed to providing high-quality generic medicines with wide accessibility through 38 branches across Indonesia. We believe equitable access to medicine is essential in supporting overall public health,” he added.

Through the Cek Segitiga program, Dexa Group aims to continue expanding access to preventive healthcare services while fostering a culture of early detection within the community. This effort plays a crucial role in addressing non-communicable diseases, which remain a leading cause of death in Indonesia.
