Solo – More than 1,000 people in Solo took part in the Cek Segitiga, free health check program initiated by Dharma Dexa PT Dexa Medica at Manahan Stadium on Sunday, April 19, 2026. The strong turnout reflects growing public awareness of the importance of early detection through blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol screenings as a first step toward maintaining good health.

Screening results revealed that a portion of participants had cholesterol levels and blood pressure readings that require attention:

– 35.6% had cholesterol levels above 199 mg/dL,
– 31.5% were identified with high blood pressure,
– 7.5% recorded random blood sugar levels above 200 mg/dL.

Doctor at Panti Waluyo Hospital Surakarta, Dr. Felix Juan Yu noted that dietary habits are one of the main contributing factors to these conditions.

“Frequent consumption of high-fat foods such as coconut milk-based dishes, fried snacks, crackers, and foods high in butter can increase cholesterol levels. In addition, foods high in salt and flavor enhancers can contribute to elevated blood pressure,” he explained.

He added that adopting a consistent healthy lifestyle is essential, including maintaining a balanced diet, reducing saturated fat and salt intake, and exercising regularly. Routine health check-ups—at least every six months to once a year—are also recommended to monitor overall health.

District Sales Manager OGB Yogyakarta, Wintoro Nur shared that this marks the second implementation of the program in Solo, with a significant increase in participation.

“The community response has been very encouraging. Previously, most participants were older adults, but now we are seeing more young people getting involved. This shows that health awareness is growing,” he said.

He added that the Cek Segitiga program not only delivers immediate benefits to the community but also serves as an effective educational platform to encourage healthier lifestyle choices. Moving forward, Dexa Medica plans to enhance the program by introducing more comprehensive and educational activities.

One participant, Mr. Heppy, expressed his appreciation for the initiative.

“My family and I found this program very helpful. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the consultation helped us better understand our health condition,” he said.

Another participant, Maulana, shared that the experience was memorable and motivated him to take better care of his health.

“At first, I was nervous when I saw the results. It turns out my blood pressure is quite high. This made me want to exercise more regularly so I can bring it down,” he said.

Through the Cek Segitiga program, Dexa Medica continues to reinforce its commitment to promotive and preventive healthcare efforts, while encouraging greater public awareness of the importance of early detection of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol.
