Bandung — Dexa Group continues to expand public access to early detection and health education through its Cek Segitiga: Free Health Screening program. Now entering its third year, this initiative, organized through Dharma Dexa, has reached more than 12,000 people across various cities in Indonesia.

During its latest event at GOR Saparua, Bandung, on Sunday (May 10, 2026), Dexa Group collaborated with Santo Yusup Hospital to provide free health screenings for 602 residents. Of the total participants screened, 67.8% were identified as having potential high health risks.

Screening results showed that 44.9% of participants were detected with hypertension, 37.2% had high cholesterol levels, and 8.6% showed indications of diabetes. These findings underscore the importance of regular health screenings, particularly as many participants were previously unaware of their potential health risks before attending the event.

The program offered more than just health screenings. It was also designed as a community-centered healthy lifestyle event, featuring group exercise sessions, health education, and interactive games to make health awareness more accessible and relevant to everyday life.

Dr. Sriyani from Santo Yusup Hospital stated that this condition remains one of the major challenges in preventing chronic diseases within communities.

“Many participants believed they were healthy, but after screening, it turned out they had significantly elevated blood pressure or cholesterol levels. That’s why early detection is essential to help prevent serious health risks at an earlier stage,” explained Dr. Sriyani.

She added that modern lifestyle factors such as physical inactivity, high sugar and fat consumption, and insufficient rest continue to significantly affect public health conditions today.

“Lifestyle is a highly determining factor. Maintaining a healthy diet, staying physically active, and scheduling regular health check-ups are simple but crucial steps for long-term health,” she added.

President Director of PT Dexa Medica, V. Hery Sutanto, said that the Free Health Screening program reflects Dexa Group’s ongoing commitment to supporting promotive and preventive healthcare approaches.

“This Free Health Screening program has now entered its third year and has reached more than twelve thousand people across multiple cities. We want to encourage greater public awareness that maintaining health starts with simple actions, one of which is regular health screenings,” said Hery.

According to Hery, early detection should become a regular habit so that potential health risks can be identified sooner and addressed more effectively.

“Moving forward, we are committed to expanding the reach of this program so that more communities can gain access to health education and preventive screenings, particularly to help reduce the risks of non-communicable diseases from an early stage,” he continued.

Dexa Medica’s commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare has also been reflected through OGB Merah, its branded generic medicine line produced since 1991. For more than three decades, OGB Merah has served as an affordable, high-quality medicine option for the broader public. Through the Free Health Screening program, this commitment is further strengthened through community education and early health detection initiatives.

Participant enthusiasm was evident throughout the event. One attendee, Adila Yuliandawati (24), shared that the program helped raise her personal awareness about the importance of health.

“It was really fun because we could exercise together, get free health screenings, and receive health education too. It wasn’t just about getting checked—it also made me more aware of the importance of starting a healthier lifestyle,” she said.
