Cirebon — The government’s Free Health Screening program has only reached 21 percent of its target in Cirebon throughout 2025. In support of the Ministry of Health’s priority initiative, PT Dexa Medica through Dharma Dexa, brought the Cek Segitiga program to the city for the first time.

Held at Stadion Bima on Sunday (May 24, 2026), the program provided free blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol screenings for 582 residents. The results showed that 62.7 percent were identified as being at high risk for non-communicable diseases. Among the participants, 40.5 percent were found to have hypertension, 31.6 percent had high cholesterol levels, and 14.1 percent showed indications of diabetes. Most participants were between 41 and 60 years old.

General Practitioner at RS Mitra Plumbon Cirebon, dr. Ruhil S, said the findings reflect the cases commonly seen in daily clinical practice.

“At our hospital, we frequently encounter patients who were previously unaware that they had hypertension or diabetes, only to arrive with complications such as stroke, heart disease, or kidney disorders. This is why health screening is crucial for early detection,” he said.

He added that unhealthy eating habits remain a recurring root cause.

“Many participants have diets high in salt, fast food, and excessive sugar intake. These habits are directly linked to the risk of hypertension, high cholesterol, and diabetes,” she explained.

Sales Director OGB-Zeta at PT Dexa Medica, Mr. Jopie Johansyah, said the city’s low screening coverage was the reason Cirebon was chosen for the program.

“The fact that Cirebon’s Free Health Screening coverage has only reached 21 percent encouraged us to choose this city as our next destination. We want to ensure that residents of Cirebon have equal access to understanding their own health conditions before it is too late. This is only the first step, and we are committed to continuing our presence here,” he said.

Affordable access to treatment complements the benefits of early detection. OGB Merah, Dexa Medica’s generic medicine line introduced in 1991, supports that mission by providing quality medicines that remain accessible to the wider community. For more than three decades, OGB Merah has been part of Dexa Group’s commitment to making quality healthcare accessible to people across Indonesia.

Cirebon is the latest stop in the journey of Cek Segitiga, which has now reached more than twelve thousand residents across various cities. Dexa Medica plans to expand the program to more cities in line with the government’s target of strengthening preventive healthcare coverage nationwide.
