TANGERANG — PT Ferron Par Pharmaceuticals, a member of Dexa Group, has won the 2026 Indonesia Halal Industry Award (IHYA) from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia in the Large Industrial Enterprise Category, Subcategory of Best Pharmaceuticals and Traditional Medicines.
This award recognizes Dexa Group’s consistency in implementing the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH). To date, all of Dexa Group’s production facilities and products have been certified halal. This commitment carries a message to the public: Guaranteed Halal, Trusted Quality.
IHYA 2026 marks part of Dexa Group’s journey in upholding halal and quality standards, adapting to regulatory shifts and industry demands, as well as continuously enhancing capabilities to support competitiveness in both domestic and global markets.
At the IHYA 2026 Awarding Ceremony in Tangerang, Banten, on Thursday, September 24, 2026, Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita stated that the development of the halal industry is part of Indonesia’s strategic effort to strengthen national industrial competitiveness and win in the global economic arena.
According to the Minister, the potential of the halal industry continues to expand alongside the growth of the global Muslim market. Referring to the State of the Global Islamic Economy Report 2025–2026, consumption by the global Muslim population across six Islamic economy sectors reached approximately US$2.6 trillion in 2024 and is projected to rise to US$3.6 trillion by 2029.
“Certification is not the end goal. Industry players must also maintain strong production capacity and secure broader market access, particularly in international markets,” stated Minister Agus Gumiwang during the IHYA 2026 event.
Strengthening the halal industry should also focus on elevating Indonesia’s position within global supply chains. This aligns with government policy under the Roadmap for Halal Industry Development 2025–2029, which aims to position Indonesia as a global halal industry hub.
This commitment has long been integral to Dexa Group’s journey in advancing the pharmaceutical sector. Dexa Group has implemented the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH) since 2019. To date, more than 1,800 product SKUs and all of Dexa Group’s manufacturing facilities are halal-certified.
The President Director of PT Ferron Par Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Benny Sutisna Suwarno, highlighted that the IHYA 2026 award reflects government appreciation for Dexa Group’s steadfast commitment to building a pharmaceutical industry that meets halal principles.
“We are deeply grateful that Dexa Group, represented this year by PT Ferron, has received the IHYA award from the Ministry of Industry. This serves as proof that Dexa Group is a pioneer in the halal industry, particularly within the pharmaceutical sector. It is also validation that our hard work is recognized by the government,” said Mr. Benny.
According to Mr. Benny, the implementation of the Halal Product Assurance System across Dexa Group was not a temporary reaction to regulations, but rather a structured effort built step-by-step over the past seven years.
“Since 2019, we have been actively fulfilling halal compliance. All Dexa Group sites and products meet halal certification requirements. Therefore, as mandatory halal implementation enters its next phase in 2026, it is not new to us, as we have already put it into practice for seven years,” Mr. Benny added.

Halal Drives Product Access to Global Markets
For Dexa Group, implementing a halal product assurance system also serves to expand product reach into international markets. Halal assurance acts as a distinct added value for products, particularly in serving market and consumer needs in Muslim-majority countries.
Through PT Ferron Par Pharmaceuticals, Dexa Group products are marketed and exported to various countries. Ferron directly exports 16 SKUs to Poland, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
Additionally, Ferron manufactures 105 export product SKUs at its facility in Cikarang. This demonstrates Ferron’s role not only in meeting domestic market demand, but also in facilitating access for Dexa Group products into global markets.
Consistent adherence to halal compliance forms a core element of this market readiness. Supported by a system established in 2019, halal certification is not an isolated milestone, but an integrated component seamlessly embedded into product management and manufacturing operations.
