Approaching Dexa Group’s 50-year dedication in the pharmaceutical and health industry, BOSKA has taken home the Outstanding OTC Pharmaceutical Brand of The Year award at the Marketing Edge Awards 2019 which was held at the Balmoral Event Center Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria, on Wednesday, 26 June 2019. This prestigious award acknowledges BOSKA’s strong brand in Nigeria, topping the foreign markets and winning the hearts of the Nigerian through its excellent products and marketing initiatives.
The Outstanding OTC Pharmaceutical Brand of The Year award was received by the Country Manager of PT Dexa Medica Nigeria, Dhanang Riyo Anggoro in front of more than 500 Top Level Nigerian brands in various categories, such as Indomie, Chivita, Coca Cola Company, Stanbic IBTC Bank, Aiteo Oil and Gas Company, Peak Milk, Multichoice (DSTV South Africa), MTN, Airtel, Eat and Go and may others.
Dexa Group CEO, Ferry Soetikno applauded BOSKA’s achievement in winning the Outstanding OTC Pharmaceutical Brand of The Year award. He encouraged everyone to continue to support and promote BOSKA. “This award follows BOSKA’s previous achievement in winning the Best Brand in the West Africa Region in 2009. The successful marketing initiatives are indeed supported by BOSKA’s performance, which hit double digit growth in 2018,” said Ferry Soetikno.
Dhanang Riyo Anggoro said this achievement is supported by BOSKA’s marketing initiatives which focus not only on our business operation but also on how we contribute to the Nigerian community.
“In the health sector, BOSKA offers free medical check-ups through the BOSKA Pain Free Day event. Meanwhile, for education BOSKA holds a BOSKA Motivational Talk to help high school students prepare themselves for college admission,” he explained.
BOSKA’s contribution in the field of education has also been recognized by the Nigerian government by winning the Education Stakeholder and Sponsor Recognition Award from the Nigerian Institute of Publications Relations in 2017. Furthermore, in sports, BOSKA also held an all Nigerian club football match called the BOSKA Cup.
Marketing Edge’s Chief Operating Officer and the Executive Secretary of this award, Amos Oladele stated that the award winners were selected based on both qualitative and quantitative research depending on each segment. This selection has also gone through a series of judging processes, including market assessment and review process to evaluate the brand’s availability, visibility and recommendation to achieve excellent top of mind awareness.
Previously, BOSKA had received the “Education Stakeholder & Sponsors Recognition Award” from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in 2017 and The West African Branding Excellence Awards in the pain reliever category from The Institute of Brand Management of Nigeria (IBMN) in 2009.
