Indication
Levofioxacin is indicated for topical treatment of extemal ocular infection such as bacterial conjunctivtis caused by levofloxacin-susceptible strain of Staphylococcus sp., Streptococcus sp., Streptococcus pneumoniae, Micrococcus sp., Enterococcus sp., Corynebacterium sp., Pseudomonas sp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Haemophilus sp. (H. influenzae, H. aegyptius. (Koch-Weeks bacillus)), Moraxella sp., Morax-Axenfeld bacillus, Serratia sp., Klebsiella sp., Proteus sp., Acinetobacter sp., Enterobacter sp., Propionibacterium acnes.
Composition
Each ml contains:
- Levofloxacin hemihydrate equivalent to Levofloxacin 5 mg
- Benzalkonium chloride 0,1 mg

Dosage
Usually, instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s), 3 times daily. The dosage may be adjusted according to the patient’s symptoms. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the disorder and on the clinical and bacteriological course of infection.
