Spironolactone OGB 100 mg
Spironolactone is indicated in the management of:
- Primary hyperaldosteronism for diagnostic and treatment of primary hyperaldosteronism
- Edematous conditions for patients with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver accompanied by edema and/or ascites, and nephrotic syndrome
- Essential hypertension

0 to 18 Years Old
Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have not been established.
18 Years Old and Above
Diagnosis and treatment of primary hyperaldosteronism
If it takes a long time to perform the test:
400 mg/day for 3-4 weeks.
If it takes a short time to perform the test:
400 mg/day for 4 days.
50-100 mg/day in single or divided doses.
Edema caused by cirrhosis of the liver with or without ascites:
Edema caused by nephrotic syndrome:
Usually 100-200 mg/day.
Initial dose 25 mg/day then increase to 100 mg/day in single or two divided doses. Dosage should be adjusted to blood pressure and potassium serum level.
